Welcome to Birdbox Bergen, peacefully located in the countryside just outside Bergen. Here, you are close to nature while still enjoying comfort. You can watch the sunrise from your bed all year round. Winter sunsets can be spectacular, and during long summer evenings you can enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere both inside and outside the Birdbox. If you're lucky, you might even see the Northern Lights in winter.

The Birdbox is located on the pasture of Øvre Haukås Farm, where sheep roam year-round. In spring, you may even witness lambing with panoramic views.

The place
Access to Birdbox Bergen is via a trail from the farmyard. The walk takes about 10 minutes (400 meters) and includes some uphill sections. As Western Norway is known for rain, waterproof shoes are recommended.

The Birdbox features a comfortable double bed, two chairs, and a small table. At the entrance, there is a small kitchenette with a sink, kettle, and mini fridge (no running water).The toilet is located in a separate unit a few meters away and is equipped with an incineration toilet and simple hand-cleaning facilities.Outside, there is a small terrace with two chairs.

Guest access
You have full access to the Birdbox and the toilet unit during your stay, as well as the surrounding outdoor areas.

Good to know
There are no shops nearby, so we recommend bringing food and drinks in advance. Upon arrival, you’ll find water in the fridge and a container of water. We also offer food packages (sushi or cheese, crackers, and grapes)
